History

Central Maintenance and Welding, Inc. was founded in 1966 in Lithia, Florida by Hank Varnum and two other partners. Since then, CMW has been owned and operated primarily by the Varnum family. As a family owned business, the Varnums have worked to maintain a familial atmosphere throughout the entire organization. CMW is a business with traditional family values, and our employees are respected members of the family.

Originally established to work with a single customer in the phosphate industry, CMW has grown over the years to expand beyond this industry into many other markets. This growth has allowed us to provide numerous services for our clients, including:
