Shawn MacConnell

Shawn MacConnell has played a key leadership role at Central Maintenance and Welding since 2011, bringing a strong focus on safety, workforce development, and operational excellence. As President, he guides the company’s strategic direction, oversees enterprise operations, and leads long-term growth initiatives.

Throughout his career, Shawn has held critical roles in safety, labor relations, and executive management, where he has implemented impactful programs that have shaped company culture and performance. He holds a B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University and remains active in industry leadership.

Shawn serves on the Board of Directors for PowerNet Credit Union, the Board of Trustees for the Ironworker Pension, Annuity, and Health Funds, and is a member of both the ANSI Z390 Hydrogen Sulfide Training Committee and the Risk Control Committee of Evolution Insurance Company Ltd.


Ian J. Legg

Ian J. Legg, CMW General Manager, is a seasoned manager with over 30 years of experience in Construction and Project Management, bringing deep industry knowledge and proven leadership to every project. A valued member of the CMW family for the past 14 years, Ian has played a key role in driving growth, operational excellence, and strategic execution across the company. With a broad focus on the chemical plant industry, he is widely recognized as a subject matter expert in the sulfuric acid sector, where his expertise continues to set the standard for safety, quality, and performance from large capital projects to daily maintenance and major equipment fabrication.


Will Sumner

Will Sumner serves as the Manager of Fabrication at CMW, bringing over a decade of hands-on and leadership experience to the organization. Since joining CMW in 2012 as a specialty pipe welder, he has advanced through key roles including Project Superintendent, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager before stepping into his current leadership position.

Throughout his career, Will has earned a reputation for operational excellence, a strong understanding of project execution, and a results-driven approach. He is passionate about upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service—values that guide both his leadership style and day-to-day operations.

Will’s commitment to craftsmanship, team development, and client satisfaction makes him a respected leader in the field and a trusted partner to colleagues and customers alike.
